Life Update

Written 2026-02-22 by Len Payne in Learning

It has been a few years since I last updated this site. I am alive, and even thriving. There’s a lot to unpack. I might unpack some of it, but I also might not. Here, however, I will name some of it. In summary, since the last update in July 2019:

  1. Link2Feed was acquired by AlpineSG, a venture-capital firm in Q1 2020.
  2. Q1 2020 also brought around COVID, and a sudden shift to remote work.
  3. Church became serious.
  4. Started a Masters of Theological Studies at Wycliffe College.
  5. Link2Feed’s parent organization restructured, and I moved up the ladder.

Today, I’m just going to talk about the non-work things. I’m excited about the opportunities for our team and software with Link2Feed, but most of the interesting bits there are things I should not share.

The Return to Christ (and Church)

But Len, this site is all about tech stuff?! What are you doing?!

Well, hypothetical audience, I always try my best to be a whole and authentic person. I will try to keep my separate parts separate for the sake of my audiences (eg- I will probably build a Substack for religious writings that I’m not seeking to publish elsewhere) but it’s been a long six years and this is the biggest change in my life, so I am sharing it.

In short, Katie started going back to church in 2017: that year we lost my Mom, and she lost a friend from high school. That brush with death helped her realize there was more to life. Over the following years, I joined her.

I’ve run out of steam. Today, Katie and I are both really sick. We’ve been fighting off the flu in one form or another since New Years. I may edit this more later, but I’m going to publish in case I don’t.
